Here is one of the main sites of the Battle of Normandy from June 1944. From our location you can quickly drive to many D-Day sites, as Gold Beach, Omaha Beach, the American cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, Pointe du Hoc, Bayeux, Juno Beach, Sword Beach, Pegasus Bridge, Utah Beach and Sainte-Mère-l’Église.

About the Mulberry
The hotel LE MULBERRY is located in Arromanches-les-Bains, a highly historical site. Its name comes from the artificial harbor, which allowed the landing of tons of gear and merchandises during the landing on the beaches of Normandy in June 1944 (operation Overlord).
Indeed, Mulberry refers also to a fast growing wild mulberry tree, as fast as was the setting up of the harbor by Lord Mountbatten, requested by Winston Churchill.
The hotel LE MULBERRY has already changed names several times, fitting the situations all along the History. Created in 1842 by the Marie family, the hotel, named at the time « Getting of the tram », was just an inn-grocery store, where some lodgers could stay. Then it became « Getting off the train » when the railway arrived in Arromanches-les-Bains.
Today you will be welcomed with conviviality by the Mulberry’s team in a family atmosphere.
